My Mountains
I’m a
MOUNTAINEER
How did I become this? Not by accident as I had to climb a few mountains to get this attribute and let me tell you it is very hard work but the real mountaineer is the man beside me, Stéphane my guide who got me to the top of Mont Blanc in 2013 and back down safe and kickstarted my journey.
Why do I climb mountains? I will let George Herbert Leigh Mallory (18 June 1886 – 8 or 9 June 1924) explain with his famous line. ‘Because it’s there’.
When you have to depend on yourself, you learn how to depend on yourself, you learn about who you are as your life is always in danger at every turn until you get back to basecamp or back home all safe and sound with a cuppa tea and fresh memories!
Physical, Mental, Endurance, Fitness, Dedication, Teamwork, Trust, Confidence, Motivation, Co-operation, Guidance and Responsibility are just a few of the qualities I found inside myself which I keep toning, adjusting to become better than I was.
i love climbing mountains
While I was climbing a mountain, you know as you do and a thought flashed in my mind as I was on my way to Everest Base Camp, as I was on my way to see Mount Everest with my own eyes. I travelled 7,760.96km to answer a question?
Well actually it was two questions that appeared by the time I arrived.
Question number 1 – Many climbers want to climb Mount Everest, they travel all the way and get scared by the size of Everest and they turn back. I wanted to see if ‘I was this guy’. No, I’m not that guy, but there is another step at 8,200 meters which turns people back also, so I will have to travel further than Everest base Camp to test my nerve.
Question number 2 – Would becoming a doctor or even graduating college be as hard as climbing a mountain or mountains or one Mount Everest?
To climb Mount Everest you have to climb many mountains but the biggest mountains I have faced so far is college and the mountain in my head.
The Path to Mount Everest has changed my life.

Mont Blanc du Tacul
France

Mount Toubkal
Morocco

Kilimanjaro
Tanzania
kilimanjaro
I have never climbed anything higher than a staircase before.
I said for my first mountain, I chose Kilimanjaro the highest free standing mountain on Earth and one of the Seven Summit Challenges.
